OUR STORY
Established in 1927 following a tent revival, Bowling Green First Church of the Nazarene has been a beacon of faith, hope, and service in the heart of Bowling Green, Kentucky. From humble beginnings meeting downtown at 1st and State Street, to persevering through the Great Depression, World War II, and a devastating fire in 1974, the church has always risen with faith and resilience.
Throughout the years, the congregation worshiped in various locations—1st and College Street, 10th and Payne Street—before finding its current home at 1503 Westen Street.
Each chapter in our history has been marked by God’s faithfulness, including the construction of new worship and education facilities to meet the needs of our growing community.

Today, BG FIRST is a multi-generational church family that gathers around a simple mission:
