LEADERSHIP

Lead Pastor
Pastor Micah has been serving in ministry since 2002. He and his wife, Angela, are thankful to be part of the BG First family and feel honored to serve the church and the Bowling Green community.
Micah is passionate about building authentic relationships, revitalizing church life, and creating spaces where people feel safe to explore faith and encounter the hope of Jesus.
He holds a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary and was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in 2019.
When he’s not preaching, meeting with people, or dreaming up new ways to serve the city, you’ll probably find him traveling, hiking, or diving deep into conversations around the intersections of faith, humor, and real life. He loves a good story, a strong cup of coffee, and watching people discover their purpose in Christ.

I have a passion for cooking, hiking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. But above all, my greatest joy comes from serving God by nurturing, loving, and teaching the children at BG First Church.
At BG First, our children’s ministry is dedicated to helping kids discover Biblical truths and the teachings of Jesus through fun, interactive lessons and activities. We aim to provide a solid foundation for their faith journey, teaching them what it means to be Christ-like and to love others as Jesus loves us.
Here, children form meaningful relationships—not only with their peers and leaders but, most importantly, with Jesus. Building a relationship with Jesus takes intentionality, and we encourage kids to “talk with Jesus” through prayer, just like they would with their best friend. My hope is that what they learn here inspires them to bring the love of Jesus into their homes, schools, and communities.
When your child is with us, they will always know this: they are in a safe space where they can share their feelings, ask questions, and grow in their faith. Every time they walk through our doors, we want them to leave knowing two essential truths: Jesus loves them, and so do we!
